Background of the case
In connection with an investigation into the promotion of online gambling and betting applications, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has formally sent letters to a number of well-known YouTubers and social media celebrities.

Official documents state that influencers Muhammad Anas Ali and Iqra Kanwal, as well as YouTuber Rajab Butt, have been ordered to appear before the cybercrime agency on September 9. Earlier this week, written letters calling them in for interrogation were sent.

This summons comes after Saad-ur-Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, a well-known YouTuber, was arrested at Lahore Airport last month. After the NCCIA filed a complaint against him for promoting gambling and betting applications, he was placed under arrest.

Since then, Ducky Bhai has stayed under arrest. In addition to accusing him of posting pornographic material on social media, investigators prolonged his physical remand for a further three days on Thursday.
