Islamabad Express avoids a serious disaster

On Wednesday, the Islamabad Express, which was going from Rawalpindi to Lahore, almost avoided a massive catastrophe when one of its bogies derailed close to Sohawa.

No casualties were recorded in the event, according to sources. Many trains were halted and railway traffic was severely disrupted as a result of the incident.

In order to start rescue efforts, authorities halted operations on the impacted track segment. When railway officials arrived on the scene, they began using heavy equipment to clean the track for traffic.
