Israeli action against the Sumud Gaza Flotilla was sharply denounced by President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday. The President praised the humanitarianism and bravery of the Pakistani people aboard the flotilla in a statement.

He claimed that there had been a major breach of international law and human rights in the attack on the aid mission.

He urged the international community to guarantee the Gaza population’s continuous access to aid. Best wishes for the safety and prompt return of Pakistanis aboard the flotilla were conveyed by him.

Pakistan will always support the oppressed Palestinian people, he declared.
