Israel’s prohibition on UNRWA’s operations in Palestine is condemned by PM Shehbaz.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently denounced Israel’s activities intended to hinder UNRWA’s (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) work for Palestine refugees in the Occupied Palestinian District.
Currently on a two-day official trip to Saudi Arabia to attend the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, the prime minister wrote on his X timeline that Israel was committing yet another flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international humanitarian law by blocking vital relief aid from reaching millions of defenseless Palestinians.
The international community should hold Israel responsible for these transgressions, he added.
During his speech at the FII moot on Tuesday, the prime minister stated that until peace was restored in Gaza and the violence there was immediately halted, the world’s ideal of progress and prosperity would never come to pass.
He alluded to the situation in Gaza with absolute clarity and noted that the world would not advance and flourish if there was not peace and an immediate cessation of the carnage there.
