Jamal Khan, the minister of commerce, will hold important talks on bilateral trade in Baghdad.

Jam Kamal, the Federal Minister of Commerce, is in Baghdad to lead the Pakistani delegation to the 9th Joint Ministerial Commission session. This is a major step toward improving Pakistan-Iraqi relations.

Since the last JMC meeting, which was held in Islamabad in 2001, this is the first.

Iraq’s Housing and Construction Minister, Bangen Rekani, welcomed Jam Kamal with open arms when he arrived at Baghdad International Airport.

The two ministers met briefly at the airport to discuss a variety of issues of shared interest, such as strengthening economic cooperation, developing closer cooperation in strategic areas, and expanding trade relations.

Regarding reviving bilateral interactions and tackling common issues, both parties were upbeat.
