Khawar Maneka’s review plea in the Nikah case is rejected by the IHC
Maneka contested the IHC’s ruling that the appeal in the Nikkhah case will be decided within a month. Supreme Court Justice Gul Hasan Aurangzeb delivered the reserved verdict.
Bushra Bibi filed a plea in June asking for the conviction in the Nikah case to be suspended. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) mandated that the session court render a decision on her request within a month.
Judge Afzal Majoka of the session court was instructed by the Islamabad High Court to rule on both pleas in the Nikah case within a certain amount of time.
