Kisan Card is launched by Maryam Nawaz.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, introduced the “Kisan Card Programme” in Hafizabad on Monday in an effort to give small farmers vital financial support.
Farmers can use their Kisan Cards to apply for loans of up to Rs 150,000 per crop season to buy seeds, fertilizer, and insecticides.
Speaking at the Hafizabad inauguration event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz declared that the initiative’s funding has been increased to allow for the issuance of 750,000 Kisan Cards instead of the original 500,000.

In order to register, she said, candidates can send their ID card number to 8070 from their registered mobile number. She declared that farmers growing 12.5 to 25 acres of wheat will receive a free laser leveler.
Moreover, CM Maryam Nawaz declared that free tractors would be given to farmers who owned more than 25 acres of country. According to the chief minister, she would give farmers free rental use of agricultural equipment.
The chief minister also unveiled plans for the future, which include a move to solarize 7,000 tubewells and a 35–40 billion rupee scheme to establish rental machinery outlets across Punjab’s tehsils.
On April 1, the Lahore High Court (LHC) denied a plea challenging the printing of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s image on a Punjabi Kisan card.
According to the applicant Mashkoor Hussain’s appeal, CM Maryam Nawaz gave her approval for the embossment of Nawaz Sharif’s likeness on the cards, however public funds cannot be used for private advertising.
