KP’s voter registration rate increases by 4 million.
Based on data released by the Pakistani Election Commission, there has been a growth of over four million voters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last five years.
According to the data, there were 21,928,119 voters in KP as of December 13, 2023, up from 17,839,845 in 2018.
More than 128 million voters will be able to cast ballots in Pakistan on February 8th, a country with a young population and a developing middle class.
The economy remains fragile following Islamabad’s near-default last year, militancy is on the increase with killings in 2023 reaching a six-year high, and climate change is wreaking havoc on the nation by causing more regular droughts and floods. The incoming administration will face formidable challenges in all areas.
At their rallies, all political parties have urged the public to use their right to vote. Punjab had the greatest voter turnout, per Gallup Pakistan.(41.5%) and the lowest in KP (56.8%).
Additionally, in KP, the number of male voters rose from 10,220,103 to 11,994,397, while the number of female voters climbed from 7,619,742 to 9,983,772.
