Lahore experiences cold, dry weather, while northern Pakistan experiences a severe cold wave.

Today (Thursday), Lahore, sometimes referred to as the “City of Gardens,” will continue to have cool and dry weather.

The provincial capital’s minimum temperature is predicted to be 7 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature might be as high as 20 degrees, according to the Meteorological Department.

Eighty-five percent of the air is humid, and two kilometres per hour of wind have been reported.

Having an average smog level of 277, Lahore is the most polluted city in the world.

The nation is experiencing more severe weather, with the federal capital, Islamabad, seeing a temperature drop of minus one degree Celsius.

Northern Pakistan

Temperatures in Skardu and Gopas recorded negative 7°C, while Leh experienced minus 13°C. Extremely cold temperatures of minus 6°C were recorded in Kalam and Kalat.

Most of Balochistan remained under a chilly spell, with Quetta experiencing temperatures as low as minus 5°C.

It snowed in the Shigar Valley for the first time this winter. Communication with Astor’s upper regions and other areas has been hampered by the severe snowfall.

It is anticipated that Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and the nearby hilly regions may experience light rain and snowfall.
