Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari was re-elected.
The results of the annual Lahore Press Club elections have been released, and Arshad Ansari has been elected president.
Babar Dogar of the Pioneers Progressive Group garnered 818 votes, while Arshad Ansari, representing the Journalists Progressive Group, received 1,108.
With 1,123 votes, Afzal Talib was elected senior vice president, and Hafiz Faiz received 780 votes.
With 980 votes, Saima Nawaz defeated Amjad Usmani, who had 873 votes, to win the vice presidential post.
With 904 votes, Zahid Abid was chosen as general secretary, followed by Jafar Bin Yaar (375 votes) and Zahid Sherwani (616 votes).
With 1,163 votes, Salik Nawaz won the position of finance secretary, while Jawad Rizvi garnered 692 votes.
Imran Sheikh received 764 votes to win the position of joint secretary, followed by Makhdoom Athar (687), Farrukh Butt (360), and Zaheer Sheikh (100).
The Pioneers Progressive and Journalists Progressive panels each had four members elected to the governing body.
Cameraman Asad Guddu, an independent candidate, also joined the ruling party.
