LHC lets PTI’s Ejaz Chaudhry out on bail in three instances from May 9.

On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) let Ejaz Chaudhry, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and a former senator, go free on bail in three instances connected to the events of May 9.
Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi led a two-member LHC bench that announced the decision, which had been set aside earlier in the day.
During the trial, Ejaz Chaudhry’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, said that the bail requests were turned down by the trial judge even though the facts showed otherwise. He said that the cases were politically motivated. He further said that Ejaz Chaudhry was in jail in Islamabad at the time of the events, thus he couldn’t have incited anyone.
The lawyer said that there was no proof that Ejaz Chaudhry was involved in violence or arson. The prosecution, on the other hand, said that even though he wasn’t there and wasn’t identified in the FIR, he allegedly used social media to encourage workers to do something and ten petrol bombs were found at his home.
