Maryam Nawaz reveals that PTI protestors are carrying police-grade guns.
In addition to expressing deep sadness over the injuries suffered by officers and officials, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has severely denounced the violent attacks on police officers in multiple areas.
The chief minister discussed the incidents, pointing out that more than 20 police officers were hurt in the conflicts, which included targeted shooting at security checks and police installations. “Unfortunately, those responsible for upholding law and order were subjected to such violence,” Maryam Nawaz said.
The chief minister disclosed that the demonstrators were armed with blades, masks, tear gas, small machine guns, and other weapons commonly employed by police enforcement.
The use of this cutting-edge weaponry by protesters is concerning and has to be looked into right now, she continued.
Numerous places, including the Hazara Motorway, Mianwali, and Ghazi Barutha, reported the attacks. The fact that one of the attacks resulted in a police constable suffering critical injuries highlights the intensity of the violence.
With the words, “Such actions are unacceptable, and the perpetrators will face the full force of the law,” Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her government’s determination to take strong action against those responsible.
Authorities are working harder to find out where the demonstrators’ weapons came from and to bring peace back to the impacted communities.
