Maximum conservation capacity is reached at Mangla Dam.

According to the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), there are currently 7.277 million acre-feet (MAF) of water available in the Mangla Dam Reservoir.

The water reservoirs at Tarbela and Chashma have already been filled, it should be noted. In August, Tarbela Reservoir surpassed its 1,550-foot maximum capacity.

According to Wapda, the total amount of water now available in the Tarbela Chashma and Mangla reservoirs is 13.316 million acre-feet (MAF).

According to the administration, this amount of water has been favourable for Pakistan’s agricultural industry and the production of hydroelectric power.

According to the authorities, Wapda is working on the Mangla Refurbishment Project, which will raise the Mangla Dam’s electricity generation from its current 1,000 megawatt to 1310 MW upon completion.
