MDCAT 2025 is in progress throughout Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The federal capital of Pakistan is hosting the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 today (Sunday).

Exam centers in Islamabad were locked at 9 a.m., according to officials, and the test was set to start at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

Before 2:00 p.m., candidates will not be permitted to exit the exam rooms.

Additionally, officials have issued a warning that any candidate found to be cheating will be disqualified right away.

MDCAT 2025: Important Changes and a New Framework

With the release of a new digital question bank for the MDCAT 2025, the PMDC has significantly altered the medical entrance test structure. This initiative aims to increase the use of technology and increase the transparency of medical education.

Public universities will be responsible for developing the exam questions, administering the test, and grading the papers, according to PMDC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, while the Council would manage student registration and oversight.

The goal of this division of labor is to guarantee equity and lessen regional disparities.

All provinces have agreed upon a syllabus that serves as the basis for the new question bank. It seeks to provide equal preparation opportunities for all applicants and standardize the testing procedure.

MDCAT Exam Syllabus 2025

Each of the many topics covered in the curriculum has a particular area of emphasis. Cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, and human systems are among the subjects covered in biology. Stoichiometry, periodic trends, organic reactions, and thermodynamics are all covered in detail in the Chemistry section. Students studying physics will investigate motion, energy, electricity, electromagnetism, and contemporary physics ideas. The English section places a strong emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension abilities. Logical reasoning also emphasizes problem-solving strategies, deductions, and pattern detection.

More than 97,000 students have signed up for MDCAT 2025 so far, and 150,000 are anticipated before the deadline. Thirty specific locations across the country will host the test.
