Miscreants in Balochistan cut out PTCL cables, killing hundreds of phones.

Telephone services were suspended throughout the greater area after criminals in Panjgur’s Sordo neighborhood severed the PTCL main wire.

According to accounts, the telephone network breakdown caused significant difficulty for hundreds of households and businesses impacted by the incident.

Teams from PTCL arrived on the scene after being notified and began the maintenance necessary to restore the landline lines.

In Balochistan, the province government has also enforced section 144 to avoid highway jams following the recent protests that shut a number of major roadways.

Previously, after the pipeline that had been destroyed in a sabotage operation was repaired, Balochistan’s gas supply was restored.

Several localities’ gas supply was suspended as a result of damage to the Akhtarabad Western Bypass pipeline.

The 18-inch diameter gas pipeline that was broken on Wednesday at the Quetta by-pass due to a sabotage activity has been repaired, according to a statement released by Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

“SSGC’s technical teams in extremely cold weather have been working nonstop since this morning to finish the complex task, three hours earlier, in consideration of the inconvenience experienced by the affected customers in parts of upper Balochistan and Quetta.”
