The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that the next 24 hours will be mostly dry and cold throughout much of the country, with extremely cold temperatures in hilly regions.
But gloomy weather with the possibility of light rain and snowfall is predicted for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
The synoptic situation indicates that a westerly wave is presently delivering cold weather, especially in hilly areas, to the country’s higher regions.
Over the past 24 hours, the majority of the country has experienced chilly, dry weather, with extremely frigid temperatures in hilly regions. While the Pothohar region had light drizzle, higher Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan saw light rain and snowfall.
Skardu continued to be the coldest region in the nation on Wednesday, with temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
