NADRA will set up automated equipment at these Karachi sites.
Through the installation of automated self-service kiosks at busy spots throughout the city, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) plans to completely transform the ID card application procedure in Karachi.
To facilitate residents’ access to vital identity card services, they include government offices, shopping malls, airports, railway stations, NADRA mega centres, and educational institutions.
NADRA is implementing these cutting-edge kiosks in response to the positive results of a trial in Islamabad in order to address the ongoing problem of lengthy lines at its centres. Applying for Child Registration Certificates (Form B), getting misplaced ID cards, and renewing ID cards will all be made easier by the machines.
The kiosks are available for citizens to take pictures, fill out biometric verification, and enter basic personal data. They will also be able to select between regular and urgent processing. Following completion, the device will produce a QR code that may be scanned with a credit or debit card, JazzCash, or Easypaisa to pay fees.
The program is scheduled to begin in NADRA major centres in Karachi and subsequently spread to other public spaces, according to NADRA Assistant Director Ammar Haider. The objective is to expedite and facilitate the procedure for the citizens of the city.
Because it is all mechanised, ease and efficiency are guaranteed. In 15 to 30 days following application completion, ID cards will be sent. It is anticipated that this new technique will lessen the inconvenience and save time that come with visiting NADRA offices.
By strategically locating these machines in busy locations, NADRA hopes to make its services more accessible to the public and give Karachiites a smooth and hassle-free identity card application process.
Pakistani nationals residing in Canada can apply for the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) via the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA), according to an earlier announcement from NADRA.
If Pakistani nationals intend to travel or establish themselves abroad, they must take the NADRA NICOP.
The only authorised agency to provide the passport to Pakistanis is NADRA.
A NADRA NICOP allows dual nationals to enter Pakistan without a visa, and it is important to note that any Pakistani citizen may apply for one. In order to apply for a Smart NICOP, you must have a valid passport number.
Pakistanis abroad can apply online for NICOP or visit their respective consulates, including Canada, while Pakistanis in Pakistan can apply at any NADRA office.
