Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, conducted a late-night inspection of Faizabad on Friday to assess the security measures in the federal capital due to increased political activity and security apprehensions. During the tour, Mohsin Naqvi evaluated multiple security checkpoints and assessed the deployment of the Islamabad Police and the Federal Constabulary (FC). He engaged with officers and troops deployed at various locations and commended their effort and commitment to upholding peace and order in the city. The interior minister, addressing the officers on duty, reiterated the government’s resolute position on upholding law and order, asserting that no group or mob will be permitted to march on Islamabad or any other city under any circumstances. Naqvi asserted, “The state will not allow individuals to assume the law into their own hands,” underscoring that safeguarding citizens’ lives and property is the government’s paramount concern. Naqvi greeted the officers and soldiers, praising their bravery and fortitude in executing their responsibilities under arduous circumstances. He also queried over their provisions for sustenance and rest, instructing the Inspector General of Islamabad Police to guarantee that on-duty personnel receive comprehensive logistical support and welfare amenities. The minister addressed the gathered security troops, stating, “You are all soldiers of Pakistan.” “You are instrumental in maintaining the rule of law, and the entire nation recognizes your contributions.” High-ranking officials, including the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, and other pertinent authorities, accompanied the minister during the visit. The inspection occurs as the federal government has heightened security protocols in and around the capital to avert any adverse incidents and maintain peace and stability.
