Naqvi announces the opening of three regional offices and a new NADRA mobile app.
A brand-new mobile application for the National Database and Registration Authority’s (Nadra) services has been released, according to the Ministry of Interior.
According to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, all services will now be delivered via the mobile app, and the Pak ID website, which served as a portal for Nadra services, would be shut down on January 17.
The minister gave an explanation for the website’s closure, stating that users, particularly Pakistanis living abroad, encountered issues with the website, especially when attempting to submit documents and biometrics.
Additionally, he noted that certain fraudulent elements were operating counterfeit websites in order to create phony identification documents. Additionally, there was a risk of citizens’ personal information being misused.
According to him, NADRA is collaborating with other organizations to take strong action against those engaged in unlawful activity. According to him, the mobile app has been enhanced to provide the general public with better Nadra services.
According to the interior ministry, the app will make it simple for citizens to access services including identity cards, NICOP, POC, B-form, and FRC.
Additionally, Mohsin Naqvi declared that three new regional centers would be established in Gilgit-Baltistan, Gwadar, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He added that the facilities will enhance NADRA services in rural locations and that the new regional offices will start operations by March 31. Additionally, this will result in citizens’ complaints being addressed promptly and their issues being resolved more quickly.
By March 31, the administration wants to have Nadra offices in every district of the nation, according to Naqvi, who also mentioned that there are currently just 19 districts without such offices.
