NDMA problems Pakistan is under a rain alert; landslides are possible in hilly areas.

In order to warn of possible unfavourable weather conditions over the next 12 to 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a rain advisory for the federal capital, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Intermittent rainfall is anticipated during this time, with light to heavy showers most probable in the upper Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej river basins, according to NDMA authorities.

In Punjab, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Sargodha, and Khushab; in KP, Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, and Buner, rainfall is also predicted in a number of important cities and districts.

Karachi, Jamshoro, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Tharparkar, and Umerkot are all predicted to experience showers in Sindh. Residents have been urged to take measures due to the increased risk of landslides in the hilly regions of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Separately, the Karak region of KP had torrential rain, high winds, and a powerful hailstorm in the vicinity of Palosa Sar. This resulted in a notable decrease in temperature and relief from the heat.
