OGDCL discovers fresh gas deposits in the Sujawal area of Sindh
According to OGDCL, “the well tested 1.24 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas through a 32/64” choke at a wellhead flowing pressure of 150 pounds per square inch (psi) from the Lower Goru Formation.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) received notice of the development from the business on Monday.
The notice stated, “The OGDCL, as 100% operator, has discovered gas at its exploratory Well located in district Sujawal of Sindh.”
OGDCL revealed that the Nur West # 01 structure was tested and drilled to a depth of 2,975 metres utilising the company’s internal knowledge.
The discovery is being considered tight gas, according to OGDCL.
One of the main unconventional resources is tight gas, a type of natural gas that is not able to flow naturally at commercial rates using conventional methods.
OGDCL, in the in the meantime, stated that the discovery at Nur West #01 opens up new possibilities and will strengthen the nation’s and the company’s hydrocarbon reserve bases.
