Ogra notifies captive power plants of the increase in gas prices.
A notice about the increase in gas prices for captive power plants was released by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Sunday.
As stated in the Ogra notification, starting on February 1, the gas price for captive power plants has been adjusted.
Gas prices for captive power plants have been raised by Rs500 to Rs3,500 per mmBtu, according to the announcement.
However, the cost of gas will not alter for commercial users, special radiators, or household consumers.
Additionally, the CNG, cement, and fertilizer industries’ gas costs have remained stable.
The increase in gas prices for captive power plants was agreed yesterday by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
