Omar Ayub obtains PHC transit bail.

According to the details, Omar Ayub and his attorney went before the PHC bench to request a transit remand.

Judge Sahibzada Asadullah ordered Omar Ayub to appear before the appropriate court and granted him transit bail until January 9.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat were released last week by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) after their earlier detention, even though the Peshawar High Court had granted them bail.

The court granted the release of the arrested PTI leaders after they were brought before it with their demands.

The court voiced its strong disapproval of their imprisonment and asked, “Why were they arrested when their bail had already been approved by the High Court?”

Ayub, Basharat, and Ahmed Chattha were taken into custody by the Rawalpindi police on Thursday outside Adiala jail following the filing of charges against them and other suspects, including the PTI founder, in connection with the GHQ attack case.
