Operation Swift Retort anniversary: PM honours military bravery and professionalism

As Operation Swift Retort marks its sixth anniversary, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the bravery, professionalism, and selflessness of the Pakistani military.

The PM claimed that six years ago, on this day in 2019, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) made it abundantly evident to the adversary that Pakistan is completely capable of defending its borders.

He claimed that our armed forces shown their readiness for Pakistan’s security by providing a suitable response to India’s aggression in the area.

The Pakistani people will always remember the tremendous sacrifices made by the country’s armed forces, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz.

He claimed that although Pakistan has always worked to advance regional harmony, the country as a whole has always stood together like an iron wall whenever there has been an attempt to undermine its stability and national security.

Today marks the sixth anniversary of “Operation Swift Retort” in honour of Pakistan’s brave military personnel for proving their tenacity and resolve in the face of India’s effort to conduct a mistaken mission.

PAF shot down two Indian fighter jets on February 27, 2019, effectively stopping a border breach.

An Indian pilot named Abhinandan was also taken prisoner during this operation.

On the occasion of the conclusion of six years of Operation Swift Retort, ISPR has released the song “Dushmana Sun.”

The song demonstrates the nation’s valiant sons’ dedication to defending their homeland.
