Pakistan and Azerbaijan have entered into 15 agreements across multiple domains.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan inked 15 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and agreements on Thursday to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, such as trade, commerce, tourism, mining & minerals, scientific technology, law & justice, and cultural exchange programs.

The signing event took place at the PM House, where Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev were present as witnesses.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar of Pakistan and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov of Azerbaijan have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries. This MoU specifically focuses on Consular Affairs.

The Commerce Minister of Pakistan, Jam Kamal Khan, and the Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Sahib Mammadov, signed a Preferential Trade Agreement between the two governments.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed 15 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Furthermore, Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan and Deputy Minister of Economy Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the privatization of state property. The MoU focuses on the cooperation between the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Privatization of Pakistan.

Additionally, the governments of Azerbaijan and Pakistan inked another agreement on Transit Trade.

Both parties have reached a consensus on a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan and the Minister of Law and Justice of Pakistan. The Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed by Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Minister for Law, and Vugar Mustafayev, the Minister for Defence Industry of Azerbaijan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan to facilitate collaboration in the areas of mineral resources and geology. The signing ceremony took place between Dr. Musadik Malik, the Petroleum Minister of Pakistan, and the Azerbaijan Minister of Energy.

The Minister for Heritage and Culture, Attaullah Tarar, and the Azerbaijan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samir Sharifov, signed a Cultural Exchange Program between Pakistan and Azerbaijan for the period of 2024-2029.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed 15 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

In addition, the two parties have also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication of Pakistan, with the aim of collaborating in the areas of information and communication technology.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about cooperation between Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting (CJSC) and Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) was signed by Secretary of Information Shahera Shahid and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov.

An MoU was signed between the two parties to build twinning relations between the cities of Baku and Islamabad. Additionally, another MoU was inked between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan and SMEDA Pakistan.

A scientific and technology cooperation agreement was signed between the Governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The Secretary of the Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Nadeem Irshad Kayani, and the Minister of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan signed a bilateral agreement on collaboration in the tourism sector between the governments of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Pakistan Academy of Literature (PAL). The signing ceremony was attended by Prof Dr Najeeba Arif, Chairman of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, and Khazar Farhadov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan.

A bilateral air services agreement was concluded between the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
