Pakistan Railways shares update about Mohen Jo Daro Express

The Mohen Jo Daro train would now bypass Karachi and go from Kotri to Rohri, according to the facts.

Because of this decision, the Mohenjo Daro Express is no longer accessible to the people of Karachi, Thatta, and Sujawal.

Before arriving in Kotri, the train used to run from Karachi, stopping in Dhabeji, Jungshahi, and Jhimpir. From there, it went on to Rohri, Dadu, Larkana, and Sehwan Sharif.

Discontent among the local populace was sparked by previous decisions to remove stations for other trains, including as the Ghous Bahauddin Zakariya Express and Bolan Mail, at Thatta and Jungshahi.

Locals have called on railway officials to change their minds and reinstate the train stations, pointing out how this will affect their accessibility and ease of travel.

To improve passenger convenience, it was announced in October 2020 that Pakistan Railways had chosen to contract with the private sector to handle the commercial management of eight passenger trains.

The railway agency requested bids from the private sector to outsource the passenger trains’ commercial management.

The railway department’s representative said in a statement that eight passenger trains are being privatized.
