Pakistan sees an all-time high in gold prices.
24 carat gold’s price per tola jumped by Rs700 to a record high of Rs260,700 on Tuesday, up from its sale at Rs260,000 on the previous trading day.
Ten grams of 24 carat gold cost Rs600 more than 22 grams of 22 carat gold, which was previously priced at Rs222,908, while ten grams of 22 carat gold cost Rs204,882 instead of Rs204,332, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Silver prices per tola and per ten grams stayed steady at Rs2,950 and Rs2,529.14, respectively.
According to the Association, the price of gold went up $10 on the global market, from $2,502 to $2,512.
