During her meeting with Senator Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker underlined Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to advancing peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond.
Growing opportunities for bilateral cooperation and investment between the two nations were also underlined during the discussion.
Both sides reaffirmed the significance of stability in the Middle East during the discussion, which addressed regional and global issues, according to a statement posted by the Foreign Office on X (previously Twitter).
In the face of persistent tensions, Natalie Baker emphasized that Pakistan’s diplomatic role is still essential to promoting peace and encouraging communication in the area.
Improving ties between the US and Pakistan
High-level meetings in New York and Washington, DC, were cited by the US envoy as signs of building mutual confidence, and he expressed delight at recent positive advances in Pakistan-US relations.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to upholding solid bilateral relations with the US, stressing the value of cooperation in the fields of politics, the economy, and security.
Natalie Baker also mentioned the US interest in investment prospects in Pakistan’s IT, energy, and precious minerals industries at the meeting.
Dar praised this interest, pointing out that Pakistan is eager to draw in more international capital to promote technology-driven development and sustainable economic growth.
