Pakistani ambassadors go to urs in Delhi.

Shoaib Sarwar, the first secretary at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, and other diplomats placed the traditional chaddar at the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya (RA) on Friday. This is part of the celebration of the 722nd urs of the saint.
According to an official release, Dewan Syed Tahir Nizami, the shrine’s custodian, greeted the diplomats. After putting down the traditional chaddar, the people said dua and prayed for Pakistan’s growth and success. The ambassadors also paid their respects to the shrine of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA), which is in the same compound.
The shrine’s caretaker also did dastarbandi for the envoy. Dastarbandi is a ceremonial way for important people to tie their turbans.
Sarwar praised the important role that Sufi saints played in the Indian Subcontinent, saying that Sufi shrines are places where people can learn about peace, devotion, and spirituality.
“They encouraged love for all people, interfaith dialogue, unity, and brought people together in society.” He went on to say, “The universal teachings of the Sufis are still important today, just as they were hundreds of years ago.”
