Pakistan’s electric vehicle sector is growing.

The electric vehicle (EV) sector in Pakistan is expected to grow significantly, thanks to initiatives for infrastructural development and international alliances supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

Industry experts point to Pakistan’s geographic location as a possible export market for electric vehicles. Building support infrastructure for electric two- and three-wheelers, manufacturing facilities for EVs, and a statewide network of charging stations are all part of the holistic infrastructure development plan.

SIFC’s engagement includes promoting global alliances, aiding in the execution of policies, drawing in foreign direct investment, and liaising with several automakers to guarantee seamless operations and market access.

With the purpose of creating a new industrial sector, the program supports Pakistan’s environmental sustainability objectives. Infrastructure development for urban and inter-city routes is planned, and the project includes both personal and commercial vehicle segments.
