Pakistan’s gold prices are rising.
All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) pricing for the yellow metal were shared. The price per tola increased by Rs500 during the day to Rs227,800.
The 10-gram gold was increased by Rs 429 and sold for Rs 195,302.
In addition, gold prices went up $5, with an ounce selling for $2,178 on the global market.
It is important to note that Pakistani and IMF personnel have agreed at the staff level on the second and final review conducted as part of Pakistan’s Stand-By arrangement.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Pakistan have reached a staff-level agreement on the second and final review of Pakistan’s stabilization program, which is supported by the IMF’s US$3 billion (SDR2,250 million) SBA Agreement. This is according to the official statement released by a team led by Nathan Porter.
The remaining US$1.1 billion (SDR 828 million) of SBA access will be made available following the IMF Executive Board’s approval of the deal.
