PCAA makes significant progress toward compliance with ICAO safety criteria.
Pakistan’s Effective Implementation (EI) score saw a significant increase to 84.41 percent after the ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) in June 2024, compared to a score of 70.39 percent in 2021.
Pakistan’s remedial efforts in important regulatory domains like flight standards, licensing, airworthiness, and air navigation were evaluated by the mission.
Pakistan is now among the member states with the highest scores for aviation safety oversight, thanks to the months of diligent effort of the PCAA team, which was acknowledged by the Director General.
Once all necessary procedures have been completed, the audit results will be publicly published on the ICAO website.
By obtaining an EI score of 86.73 percent earlier in 2024, PCAA also demonstrated achievement in the ICAO’s Universal Security Audit Program (USAP).
Given the authority’s dedication to upholding strict safety regulations, these outcomes have improved Pakistan’s standing in the international aviation community.
In order to strengthen professional skills and safety culture within the aviation industry, the Director General underlined that PCAA will keep pursuing a Zero Fatality goal in aviation and working with international partners like the ICAO, the EU South Asia Aviation Partnership, and the UK State Safety Partnership Program.
The Minister of Aviation received special thanks from the Director General for its continuous assistance in facilitating PCAA’s transition and enabling it to reach these noteworthy benchmarks.
