Pillion riding prohibited for two days
The sources stated that Islamabad will prohibit pillion riding for two days, on Friday and Saturday. They also mentioned that a formal announcement will be made shortly.
The federal capital’s school closures were also announced by the Private Schools Association. The association emphasized that children’s safety comes first and that students’ commutes have already been made more difficult by containers positioned throughout the city.
Friday, October 4th is the planned date of the protest while the federal administration comes up with a plan to handle the situation.
Prior to this, Senator Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, declared that all efforts will be made by the federal government to stop protests in Islamabad.
Speaking to a press conference, the interior minister announced that a Saudi team would also be arriving in the nation’s capital, Islamabad will host numerous important diplomatic gatherings and events in conjunction with the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Pakistan.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, Islamabad will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit as well.
“Given the current circumstances, nobody would be permitted to conduct the protest,” he continued. Citing security concerns and impending international events, he requested that the leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) abstain from protests in Islamabad.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was urged by Mohsin Naqvi to rethink his choice and postpone the protest in Islamabad. According to the interior minister, Section 144 is enforced in Islamabad, and anyone attempting to break the law would not be permitted.
“Anyone who rebels against the law will face consequences from the law.” There won’t be any leniency; we need to examine the security arrangements. The protest shouldn’t come at the expense of Pakistan’s honour because individuals are also being invited from other provinces, according to Mohsin Naqvi.
