PML-Q leader asserts that the US is not meddling in Pakistan’s internal matters.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), refuted claims of intervention by the new US government in Pakistan’s internal matters, labelling them as “unfounded.”
He delivered these comments during a meeting with a delegation of Chinese investors headed by Madam Scarlett Xiang at his mansion. The meeting was attended by Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Punjab’s Provincial Minister, along with other party officials.
During the session, Madam Xiang outlined her prospective investment initiatives in Pakistan and Punjab. The meeting addressed subjects like the recent U.S. elections and their consequences, China’s policies, and bilateral relations.
Chaudhry Shujaat asserted that the United States maintains its own policy and will refrain from intervening in Pakistan’s domestic affairs. He observed that China has upheld a definitive position on these matters and emphasised the profound camaraderie and robust commercial relations between Pakistan and China.
He conveyed appreciation for China’s continuous investment efforts in Pakistan, especially in Punjab, which encompass training programs for 300,000 individuals and a planned medical city in Gujrat. He emphasised the necessity of utilising Chinese technology to develop Pakistan’s agriculture industry and advocated for further engagement between the business sectors of both nations.
Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Punjab’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, guaranteed comprehensive cooperation from the provincial government for Chinese investment endeavours. He also acknowledged Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain for his pivotal contribution in enhancing Pakistan-South Korea trade relations, which enabled the entry of corporations such as Samsung into Pakistan.
At the meeting’s conclusion, Chaudhry Shujaat offered his book to the leader of the Chinese team, while Madam Scarlett Xiang bestowed upon him a keepsake of the proposed Gujrat Medical City.
The delegation comprised Deputy Chief of Huawei Pakistan, Mr Ray, along with other authorities.
