Pre-winter precipitation were predicted to be lower this year by the Met office.

Because of the quick changes in weather patterns, a Pakistan Meteorological Department official has forecast a drop in rainfall at the beginning of the winter season.
The monsoon season this year witnessed 23% more rainfall than usual, according to PMD Director Abdul Aziz, which had an effect on different parts of the nation. There are worries about the impending pre-winter rains, he continued.
He pointed out that although there might be less precipitation at the start of winter, more rainfall is anticipated by the end of the season.
Aziz also cautioned that, like last year, there may be less snowfall this winter. The upcoming monsoon season may see more rainfall than usual if snowfall is still in short supply. Less snowfall, he explained, might upset the normal water cycle and make future monsoons more intense.
The department has blamed climate change for these changing weather patterns, stating that quick shifts in seasonal patterns are impacting Pakistan’s rainfall and snowfall systems in different parts of the country.
