President Zardari bestowed with a banquet in Chengdu

During his official visit to China, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari was honored with a formal dinner hosted by Wang Xiaohui, Party Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

President Zardari participated in the occasion with First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong were also in attendance.

President Zardari expressed gratitude to the Chinese host for the kind hospitality and emphasized his family’s longstanding four-generation ties with China.

President Zardari advocates for the enhancement of collaboration between Pakistan and China across all sectors.

In a poignant moment, the Chinese host conveyed appreciation to Pakistan for its assistance following the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. The evening included a violin rendition of the Pakistani national hymn Dil Dil Pakistan, which was enthusiastically received by the guests.

The ceremony closed with a reaffirmed dedication to enhancing Pakistan-China friendship and collaboration, highlighting the lasting connection between the two countries.
