Price increases of Rs 15 per litre for milk

A statement from the administration states that the price of milk has been fixed at Rs 215 per litre, following a hike of Rs 15.

The milk wholesale price per litre has been set at Rs 200.

Following a round of negotiations with the Dairy Farmers Association, Commissioner Karachi announced the revised milk price earlier in June.

A statement stated that the retail price of milk was fixed at Rs 220 per litre, following a 20 per litre hike. The milk rates for dairy farmers and wholesalers have been set at Rs 195 and Rs 205 per litre, respectively.

It is important to note that, at the same time that the prices of petroleum goods were declining, dairy farmers were requesting increases in the prices of their products.

A document of the agreement that the dairy farmers and Commissioner Karachi negotiated is available to ARY News. As a result, the price was increased.

The dairy producers will sell milk at the official price per the agreement, and noncompliance will result in consequences.

“Until December 31, the milk vendors won’t ask for any more increases. The dairy farmer is required to show all levels of buy-and-sell rates. The agreement stated that the quality of milk supplied to merchants by dairy farmers would be preserved.
