Prime Minister Sharif engages in a meeting with Fazlur Rehman in order to repair their relationship.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the home of a former political friend in order to repair the relationship that became strained during the national elections in February 2024.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif commended Fazlur Rehman for his efforts in safeguarding democracy in Pakistan and expressed admiration for his contributions to religious affairs.

In order to repair the damaged relationships, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed the establishment of a committee.

The leader of the JUI-F party, Fazlur Rehman, has consistently alleged electoral manipulation and called for a new mandate.

Fazlur Rehman supports the idea of reaching a consensus between JUI-F and PTI.

On May 2, Maulana Fazlur Rehman reiterated his rejection of the general election results and called for new elections, citing extensive rigging and irregularities.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, speaking at a public gathering in Karachi, asserted that the assembly were corruptly influenced in the February 2024 elections. “Furthermore, he added that both the Sindh Assembly and the President House were also sold.”

The leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) called for prompt re-elections in order to safeguard the authenticity of the democratic procedure.

“The recent elections were fraudulent, and the outcome is not acceptable,” he stated. The leader of the JUI called for new elections in Pakistan to guarantee the expression of the people’s opinions and the preservation of their authorized decision.
