PTI is asked by Fazlur Rehman to “quit assemblies.”

The sources said that during the talks between PTI leaders and Fazlur Rehman, the head of JUI-F gave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf advice to leave assembly and join the street movement in order to find solutions to issue.

Dismissing Fazlur Rehman’s advice, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) declared that the party had already erred by abandoning assemblies in the past.

The sources indicated that next week will probably see a crucial meeting about the JUI-F and PTI forming an alliance.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman had earlier on May 2 called for new polls, citing “widespread rigging and irregularities,” and he once again rejected the general election results.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that assemblies were “sold” while speaking before a public assembly in Karachi. Additionally, he said, “President House and Sindh Assembly were sold.”

To preserve the integrity of the democratic process, the JUI-F chairman requested that fresh elections be held right away.

“It’s unacceptable that the results of the recent elections were rigged,” he said. For the people’s voice to be heard and their mandate to be honoured, the JUI chief called for new elections.
