Punjab deploys Rangers and enforces Section 144 in four cities.

Section 144 has been imposed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, and Sargodha. Furthermore, Rangers have been summoned to aid in upholding law and order.

The Punjab government has solicited the assistance of three companies of Rangers on the 5th of October in Lahore.

Section 144 will be enforced for three days in Rawalpindi, Attock, and Sargodha from Friday, October 4, to Sunday, October 6.

The decision to implement the limitations and deploy Rangers was based on suggestions from the district administration.

In response to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI’s) call for a demonstration, the Islamabad police have established seven teams to apprehend demonstrators.

The specialised police unit will have 15 to 17 police personnel and officers apiece.

The enforcement action will focus on local activists and individuals arriving in Islamabad for today’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest.

The teams will function under the direction of Superintendents of Police (SPs), with each team led by an officer of sub-inspector level, sources reported.
