Punjab releases the new winter school schedule.

As of October 16, 2025, the updated timetable is in effect and will stay that way until the School Education Department notifies everyone on March 31, 2026.
According to the new timetable, courses at boys’ schools will end at 12:30 pm on Fridays and run from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday.
The hours for girls’ single-shift schools are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, with lessons finishing at 12:15 pm on Fridays.
The first shift in double-shift boys’ schools runs from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm Monday through Thursday and till 12:30 pm on Fridays.
From Monday through Thursday, the second shift will start at 1:00 pm and terminate at 5:00 pm; on Fridays, it will end at 2:00 pm.
The morning shift for girls’ double-shift schools will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday and until 12:15 pm on Fridays.
On weekdays, the afternoon shift will run from 12:45 to 4:45 p.m., and on Fridays, it will run from 1:45 to 4:45 p.m.
According to the government, the modification is intended to account for seasonal variations and guarantee a seamless academic schedule throughout the winter. To ensure consistency and efficiency in the teaching hours, schools have been instructed to rigorously adhere to the new schedule.
