Punjab Schools Ramadan Timings 2024
The Punjab Education Department is preparing to provide specific school hours in order to maintain religious observances at this significant time, as the holy month of Ramadan approaches in a few days.
Government and private schools in the area typically modify their timetables during the month of Ramadan. Classes started last year at 7:30 am and ran from Monday through Thursday until 12 pm. Schools were open from 7:30 am until 11:30 am on Fridays. Additionally, morning sessions at double-shift schools started at 7:15 a.m. and ended at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.
After the harsh cold wave ended, Punjab’s school schedule has undergone alterations, according to recent reports. Regular sessions for males in Lahore and other Punjabi cities are planned from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm till April, while classes for ladies are scheduled from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm. Boys’ schools are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Fridays, while girls’ schools are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Nonetheless, the Education Department has not yet decided on the school schedule for this period, even though Ramadan is predicted to start in Pakistan on March 11 or 12. During Ramadan, schools are often expected to open at 7:30 am, while final choices are subject to permission from the relevant authorities.
