The recent, unexpected floods in Punjab have dealt a serious hit to the province’s agricultural industry. In Punjab, standing rice, maize, and other crops besides vegetables have been damaged by the floods.
The disastrous floods in Punjab reportedly damaged at least 2,125,838 acres of agricultural land.
According to the information, rice crops on 970,929 acres of land sank, and cotton crops on 110,850 acres of land were washed away. Additionally, 186,419 acres of maize harvests were devastated.
Additionally, 220,344 acres of sugarcane crops were destroyed. In addition to destroying vegetables grown on 115,260 acres of land, floods also ruined 400,500 acres of green fodder.
