Recall notice for allegedly phony anti-rabies vaccines issued by DRAP

The alleged vaccination, “Shore-Rab,” is produced by an Indian business, although DRAP is not aware of its registration. The batch in question is designated as “RO10821.”

DRAP alerts people to the serious health risks associated with using this unregistered anti-rabies vaccine, especially for those who have been bitten by dogs.

The provincial drug authorities, pharmacies, medical personnel, and the DRAP field team all received the alert.

There is still uncertainty about the efficacy and safety of the phony vaccination, which may increase the number of cases of rabies.

The Pakistani Drug Regulatory Authority has demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the supply chain of this fake vaccination and asked retailers and pharmacies to promptly inspect their inventory.

In order to track down the manufacturers of the phony vaccination and confiscate the contaminated batch, DRAP’s field team has been directed to monitor the pharmaceutical market. Healthcare providers are cautioned against giving patients who have been bitten by dogs the alleged “Shore-Rab” vaccination.

It has been requested that pharmacies and distributors notify DRAP right once if they have any stock of the fake vaccination.
