Respect for national institutions is essential to fortify democracy: Sanaullah

Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, stated on Tuesday that reverence for national institutions is essential for fortifying democracy in the nation.

In an interview with a private news channel, he stated that parliament is the paramount institution of the nation and emphasized the necessity of respecting all institutions, including the judiciary, to advance the democratic system.

In response to an inquiry, he stated that there exists a process for the appointment of judges. He stated that augmenting the number of judges in both higher and lower courts would facilitate the expeditious delivery of justice to the populace.
