Returned from Pakistan are more than 500,000 illegal Afghans, and attempts are ongoing.
As of April 22, 2024, more than 542,981 Afghan nationals had left Pakistan for their native country; the process of repatriation is still in progress.
Ten days later, on April 22, 2,967 men, 1,834 women, and 2,240 children—a total of 7,041 Afghan citizens—made the decision to freely return to their country.
267 families have returned home as a result of the repatriation activities; they were driven back to Afghanistan in 213 vehicles, guaranteeing their safety.
The goal of this coordinated effort is to assist Afghan nationals in returning home while addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
