Sanaullah claims there is no plan to be harsh with the JUI-F demonstration in Karachi.

The government would not be harsh with attendees of the march that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in Karachi announced today (Thursday), according to Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah.

As they had a friendly and intimate relationship with the head of the JUI-F, the former interior minister said in a statement that both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will hold discussions with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Political stability could not be guaranteed, according to Sanaullah, until all parties met together and the issue was resolved peacefully.

At 4:00 PM today, the JUI-F will stage a protest in Karachi against what Fazl refers to as “rigging in the general elections.” To prevent traffic congestion on several routes, the traffic police have devised a diversion strategy ahead of the march.

Parking arrangements at the Excise Chowrangi, Bagh-e-Jinnah, and Mazar-e-Quaid Gates have been finalized for rally participants. The main thoroughfare of Karachi, MA Jinnah Road, will be the new route for traffic, with the Numaish Chowrangi road remaining blocked.
