In addition to wishing everyone a happy Saraiki Culture and Saraiki Ajrak Day on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed that the current government would do its part to promote the regional languages, literature, and customs across the nation.
In his greeting, the prime minister noted that the Saraiki region’s many hues were exquisite and that it was rich in many customs and civilizations.
He claimed that Balochistan and India, in addition to South Punjab, also spoke it. He claimed that great contributions to poetry, music, and literature had been made by Saraiki writers and the Saraiki language.
According to the prime minister, the Indus Valley Civilization, which dates back thousands of years, is the source of Saraiki culture. Saints such as Hazrat Shah Ruknuddin Alam, Hazrat Bahauddin Zakaria, and Khawaja Ghulam fareed, he claimed. Through their writings, Salman Taunsavi, Sakhi Sarwar Shah, and Shams Tabraiz also contributed to the Saraiki language’s enrichment.
The government has always placed a high priority on promoting the literature, art, and culture of South Punjab, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz.
