Security forces eliminate 12 terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan: ISPR

On Wednesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that security forces eliminated 12 terrorists in two distinct intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the districts of Kech, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and North Waziristan.

“On 12-13 November 2024, Security Forces executed an intelligence-driven operation in the vicinity of Miran Shah, North Waziristan District, based on reports of khwarij presence,” stated the military’s media division.

It stated that throughout the operation, security personnel effectively targeted the khwarij’s location, resulting in the deaths of eight khwarij and injuries to six others.

“A sanitisation operation is underway to eradicate any remaining Khwarji in the area, as Pakistan’s security forces are resolute in their commitment to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the nation,” the statement read.

The ISPR previously announced that security forces eliminated four terrorists, including their leader Sana, also known as Baru, during an intelligence-based operation in the Kech district of Balochistan.

The ISPR reports that Sana, also known as Baru, served as a primary recruitment agent, particularly for suicide bombers, for the so-called Majeed Brigade in District Kech and was a high-priority target for Law Enforcement Agencies.

It was also reported that firearms and ammo were retrieved from the deceased terrorists.

A sanitisation effort is underway to eradicate any remaining terrorists in the vicinity. The Security Forces of Pakistan, in alignment with the Nation, are resolute in their efforts to prevent any attempts to undermine the peace, stability, and growth of Balochistan,” stated the ISPR.

On October 30, security forces eliminated eight Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while three army personnel, including a major, were martyred.
