Senate Session: Proposal to Show Support for Kashmiris unanimously approved

Azam Nazeer Tarar, the law minister, has promised to speak with Allied Party leaders in order to find a solution to the projected Cholistan Canal.

Azam Nazeer Tarar, in response to a point of order, decided to completely execute the 1991 water deal and the constitution among the provinces.

A resolution to show support for the Kashmiri people in honor of Kashmir Solidarity Day was also passed by the house. Pakistan reaffirmed its diplomatic, political, and spiritual support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their fight for the right to self-determination in the motion introduced by Senator Danesh Kumar.

It further demanded that violations of human rights in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir be stopped and that the problem be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions and the desires of Kashmiris.

Additionally, the PECA Amendment Bill 2025 report was presented to the house. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar responded to the opposition benches’ protesting senators by stating that a PTI senator is chairing the Standing Committee on Interior, which passed the PECA Amendment Bill.

The house was later postponed till Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
